FAQ - Body - Mesotherapy
Q. What Can Mesotherapy Treat?
A. Mesotherapy can be used to effectively treat many cosmetic issues.
BODY CONTOURING AND WEIGHT REDUCTION
Unlike liposuction, Mesotherapy is a non-invasive procedure. There is MINIMAL pain during your treatment and there is NO downtime. Rather than surgically removing your fat cells, our aim is to non-surgically remove fat from your fat cell.
CELLULITE REMOVAL
Eighty percent of women have cellulite. It is a myth that only obese individuals have it, when in fact; there are many thin individuals with cellulite. The medications used in Mesotherapy are injected directly into the cellulite areas to break-up fibrous cords, liquefy fat, and increase lymphatic circulation.
To improve your results even more, a protocol which includes a treatment series with the VELASMOOTH, a Revolutionary Device to Melt Away Fat and Cellulite, can enhance the effects of your Mesotherapy treatment.
HAIR GROWTH
Mesotherapy for the scalp has proven to provide patients with noticeable reduction in hair loss and new fine hair growth. All patients will be required to have an initial work up to include blood work, in order to assess any medical factors that may be contributing to the hair loss. Treatment protocols are available for both men and women
FACIAL REJUVENATION
Facial Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive, comfortable and quite safe procedure. It yields impressive and lasting results through skin stimulation and regeneration. You can combine two different techniques 1.) MesoGlow- to improve the general quality and tone and elasticity of the skin and 2.) MesoLift - to remove unwanted fat in the chin, cheeks, neck and jowls.
Q. Who Can Get Mesotherapy?
A. You can receive Mesotherapy if you are between the ages of 18-75 years old and are in good health.
Mesotherapy is not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
- History of heart disease History of cancer
- Insulin- dependant diabetes History of Kidney or liver disease
- Bleeding disorders History of Blood Clots
- Women who are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or are breastfeeding

During your personal consultation with Dr. Wright, you will be asked pertinent questions with regards to your overall health prior to initiating treatment.
Q.What are the Side Effects?
A. Mesotherapy is well tolerated and side effects are minimal. However with all procedures, side effects can occur. Local reactions at the site of injection can occur which are temporary and minimal. These may include itching, redness, bruising, and localized swelling. All products used are fully disclosed to the patient prior to treatment and there safety has been well established.
Q. How many Treatments will I Need?
A. This varies depending on what body area is being treated, as well as the body-mass-index of the individual. It may only take 1-2 treatments for the face or 2-4 treatments for the double chins.
However, for larger areas such as lower abdomen, love handles, saddle bags, bra bulge - 3-8 treatments (possibly more in larger patients) may be required. Cellulite treatments using Mesotherapy alone will require an average of 10 sessions. Treatment for hair loss, if a chronic problem, will require ongoing maintenance treatments.
Q. When do I Start Seeing Results?
A. Patient response is quite variable. Some patients are quick responders and start to see dramatic results after only one treatment. Others may require several treatments to get the desired effect.
Q. Does it Last?
A. Your results are as permanent as you make them. If you maintain a healthy diet, and exercise routinely, your treated areas will remain free of unwanted fat. However, if good diet and exercise are limited because of your occupation or busy home activities, we recommend a maintenance plan (discussed during your consultation).
In order to help you maintain “the new you”, Dr. Wright has additional nutritional supplements to help mobilize and metabolize your fat during and after your treatment sessions. Please ask for our menu of natural products and Dr. Wright will personally formulate what supplements would be best for your treatment plan
